The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. In 2010 Anushka Sharma was in the movie 'Badmash Company' alongside Shahid Kapoor Vir Das and Meiyang Chang. The film received mixed praises. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' in which she played a Punjabi middle class girl who launched her own venture. It received positive reviews. Anushka had signed the contract for three films in partnership with Yash Raj Films.
